Behind-the-scenes sidenote: When Christopher Harbour asked what Silas Pembroke sounded like in my head, I told him Matt Berry, and was shocked to find out he didn’t know who that was.
I shouted, “What!? He’s the boss from The IT Crowd! This guy:”
Nothing. Somehow, I had found the only known nerdy white Millennial in existence who has not seen The IT Crowd.
“He’s also Lazlo, the horny vampire from What We Do in the Shadows! He’s got that insanely recognizable voice.”
Still nothing.
So Christopher Harbour found some clips of Matt Berry and gave him a listen. I then watched in amazement as he did what he does best and found the voice. It took less than five minutes, and suddenly Chris could do a solid Matt Berry.
And just… wow. I still can’t get over that.
